ROUTE 11 POTATO CHIPS

SUMMER 2010
There's gold in dem dar hills.  Yukon Golds that is!!  Our favorite seasonal potato will be making its annual appearance starting in early-mid August.  We were very fortunate to find a local potato farmer inspired to grow sixteen acres for us.  Not only that, he's growing them on top of a mountain in West Virginia.  If you've never had a Route 11 Yukon Gold potato chip, don't miss this delicious opportunity.  We hope to have them through October this year.

We are committed to being a waste free facility, which means:
--  All potato peelings and chip rejects are fed to a herd of Route 11 loving cows about 1/2 mile down the road.
-- We are maniacal recyclers: Cardboard, plastic, metal, glass.
--Currently we sell our used chip oil to a company that likes to roast their horse feed in it.  They say that the horses eat this feed with relish!!
-- We even just started recycling the steam coming out of the cookers (potatoes are 75% water) to help heat our kitchen.

Come visit us!!
Stay cool and crunch on!!

SEASONAL UPDATES

To our YUKON GOLD customers:
The season this year is going start in late July-early August.  If all goes well,
we will be cooking Yukons at the end of the summer and into the fall.

To our Mixed Vegetable Chip customers:

We are very sad to inform you that we have temporarily discontinued the production of our veggie chips. Due to the high cost of the veggies and the oil, we're taking an extended break from cooking them.
