Spring 2008, Chipland Update It's officially spring in chipland. That means we'll be closing the door on the storage potatoes and getting back into fresh harvest cooking. The southern potatoes should be rolling in here any day now. As you may know, we've been diligently working on getting our new plant up and going. We fell a little bit behind schedule, but hope to be cooking the first batch there by May 1. The retail area in our new plant will be opening this fall 2008. We will continue cooking sweet potatoes in Middletown and selling chips over the counter in Middletown at least through the end of the year. For fry-viewing in Middletown, we will no longer be cooking on Saturdays. We will still be open and have plenty of samples for you, but if you want to see the action, please try and visit us on a weekday. Please bear with us during this bumpy stretch in the road. Munch on!! To our Mixed Vegetable Chip customers: We are very sad to inform you that we have temporarily discontinued the production of our veggie chips. Due tothe high cost of veggies and our own growing pains we're taking an extended break from cooking them. We hope to have them back by the 2008 holiday season.
